RISE UP is an immersive performance experience based on the short story -Videotape: Wings Like Eagles written by Pierce in Spring of 2008.
The short story examines the power dynamics between a young man, his football coach and the lens of a video camera.
The video components and performance are site-specific elements bred from a week - long immersion on the campus of La Lumiere High School, in La Porte Indiana. The piece was performed once on the night of June 24th, 2008.
