MEDIUMS:
i fell for theatre early on, have been writing since i can remember, got lost behind the camera, started making video work, and moving. i am currently dancing, installing, and editing on any given day of the week. constantly trying to combine and layer these elements, my most recent work is viewed live [core project] incorporating movement, media, music and text.

THEMES:
living and adapting as [insider] and [outsider] to various cultures, people groups and landscapes, i address elements that bind humans together as well as create division. what are the boundaries separating you and i? what are the common currencies we deal in? drawn to the beauty in our intricate differences and the frightening similarities between each of us, i intend to explore, question and frame these strands of human experience with bravery and sincerity.

PROCESS:
intense gathering and selective refinement. nearly always starting with a box, initially, i try to fill a space (be it a room, frame, screen, or page) with as much relevant information as possible: questions, images, responses. these i try to live in/obsess over. often the theme surfaces during this time. from here i filter, edit, simplify.

GOAL:
to leave the most potent remnants of a story, while allowing space for the viewer to fill in the blanks.
